In the 1970s and 1980s, Britain fell in love with the cult classic TV game show It’s a Knockout and now you can take part locally. It’s a brilliant, competitive and a fun-packed team building event, whether it’s with colleagues, friends or family. Think, races in crazy giant suits, sumo penguins, inflatable hurdles, wet sponges and king-size quantities of foam! This light-hearted event will allow competitors to play the original games from the BBC show which millions tuned in to watch on Saturday nights.
It’s a Knockout isn’t your average team building event – it’ll whip-up team spirit with a ton of foam, fun and laughter!
Ready, set, go!
You will need a team consisting of 8 to 10 people to compete. It is £400 per team to enter. You must register to take part. Please note, participants must be aged 14 and over.
The challenges will begin at 11am on Sunday 2 July 2023. Bring your A game!
Before the games there will be a safety briefing and a warm up excericse to ensure all team members are ready for action.
There will be a bar and barbecue food available to purchase – to keep up your strength as you tackle the challenges.
What you can expect from games on the day:
Slippery Summit
Because there ‘ain’t no mountain high enough’ we have an inflatable substitute! In an attempt to recreate Hannibal’s exploits, you’ll be required to make as many climbs of this mountain with the aid of the rope. Sounds easy, until you see the soap and water! A game that will require as many of your team members to make as many trips over the inflatable in the alotted time.
Fe Fi Fo Fall
Medieval Madness
The whole team form a human chain standing on pedestals – when the compere says ‘Start’ – the anchor person collects the sponges from the large bucket of water and passes them down the line. The last person in the team must catapult wet sponges over the castle wall to their team mate who will squeeze all the remaining water into a container. At the conclusion of the event, the measuring stick comes out and the team with the most water wins!
Bangers and Crash
Teams must mount the giant inflatable sausage links, make their way through the slalom and be the first to make it out of the frying pan! A full team game that requires coordination and timing, it’s not as easy as it seems! With plenty of hilarity and a good dose of team spirit, teams must try to make sausage meat out of the opposition.
Hats On
This game consists of a giant inflatable hurdle course. The whole team compete across the course wearing a hat containing a cup full of water. The more water they keep in the cup the more points the team get. Once everyone has completed the course the team with the most water wins!
Penguin Pursuit
Don flappy-footed penguin suits and race for your life. Penguins who get caught by their opponents will have to sit and watch while the remaining combatants go toe-to-toe in Penguin Sumo. Have you got what it takes to triumph in the Ring of Ice?
