Driven by Hope – Terms & Conditions
- Hope for Tomorrow (the “Charity”) is a registered charity (no. 1094677) and company limited by guarantee (no. 4538433). The Charity’s registered address is 101 The Waterfront, First floor, Stonehouse business park, Sperry Way, Stonehouse, GL10 3UT. - These Terms and Conditions relate to the Charity’s ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign.
- The ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign enables our Supporters, to have their Name(s) or the Name(s) of someone special, that has passed away or living, or a company name, whichever is chosen, printed on a large removeable sticker (a “Decal”), which will be affixed to the lower side panels on one of the Charity’s mobile cancer care units (each a “Unit”).
- The naming is subject to a minimum donation of £250 per Name and is in recognition of such donation, which can be submitted by Supporters, including the Charity’s staff, volunteers, and other stakeholders, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- By submitting a Name for inclusion on a Unit will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The Charity reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign and/or to amend any of these Terms and Conditions at any time by placing a notice on our ‘Driven by Hope’ webpage, which may be found at https://hopefortomorrow.org.uk/driven-by-hope/
- The timings set out below are approximates only. The Charity does not accept responsibility, and shall not compensate you, for any delay.
- Acknowledgment of requests and Names will be considered by the Charity from 09:00 am on 1st September 2025 and will continue until the sooner of either:
(a) the maximum 192 Names are acquired, or
(b) 23:59pm on 31st March 2026. - Entries of Names may be submitted by:
(a) completing an online form;
(b) over the telephone by calling the Charity’s Head Office on 01666 505055 during office hours: Monday-Friday 09:00 to 17.00. - All donations collected from Supporters in respect of the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign will go into the Charity’s general funds, to help deliver cancer care closer to home in all of our regions. We do not accept requests for donations to go towards anything specific.
- You can purchase multiple Names. Please note, however, a minimum donation of £250.00 per Name is required (e.g. if you would like five Names, you will be required to donate a minimum of £1,250).
- Examples of Name entries may include:
- Your name;
- Your family’s name (e.g. The Jones Family);
- The name of the special person eg. loved one, friend or relative;
- The name of someone who has passed away;
- The name of someone as a gift e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas;
- The name of a community group;
- Business or group names.
- The following requirements apply to all Names submitted:
- The maximum number of characters per Name, including pronoun, spaces and punctuation, is 32 characters.
- Names may contain titles such as Captain, Dr, Lady, Sir and may contain post-nominal letters (honours) such as RN, CBE, MBE, OBE, MD
- Nicknames or informal versions of Names may also be used, such as ‘Freddie’ or ‘Sam’.
- No special characters including accents may be used, except hyphens.
- The Names must not include any discriminatory or offensive language or be used for political promotion or corporate advertising.
- All Names submitted must be real, identifiable, non-fictional individuals.
- We cannot accept company logos
- The Charity reserves the right to reject any Name, if it believes the Name is fictitious, offensive, contains defamatory content, or if it believes the Name has been submitted for political, campaigning or any other reason which may cause reputational or other damage to the Charity.
- Supporters are responsible for checking the Name before submitting it to ensure that it is spelt correctly, contains the correct details and is submitted as they wish the Name to appear on a Decal on a Unit. Subject to clause 14 and this clause 15, the Name shall be used on the Decal as submitted without correction by the Charity. In the event of a Name being submitted incorrectly please contact info@hopefortomorrow.org.uk as soon as possible.
- Any donation must be a new donation specific to the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign. Unfortunately, we cannot add Names in relation to any retrospective donations previously made to the Charity. Entries of a Name and/or donations made to the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign are not transferable to any other of the Charity’s other campaigns. Likewise, donations made to other of the Charity’s campaigns are not transferable to the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign.
- In order to submit a Name for the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign, all Supporters must also provide their own name. Submissions of Names cannot be provided anonymously.
- Names will appear on one Decal on one Unit in alphabetical order. Once the Decal is printed, Supporters will be able to search a digital version of the Decal for their submitted Name.
- The Charity’s decision in respect of the final design, content and position of the Decal on a Unit is final. The Charity may also use images and/or replications of the Decal at its own and absolute discretion for marketing and social media purposes. Any drawings or illustrations of the Decal are for the purpose of showing what the final design may look like but do not have any contractual force. The Charity reserves the right to amend the design of the Decal as required.
- A minimum of approximately 32 Names and a maximum of approximately 64 Names is required to complete one Decal on a Unit. There are three lower side panels on one side of a Unit, allowing room for three Decals, (192 Names as referred to in clause 8(a), above). Your submitted Name will be placed on one lower side panel on one Unit. The Name will only appear on a Unit once we have received sufficient Names to fill and produce the Decal.
- Submission of a Name which is used on said Decal does not entitle that person to any rights to or title in a Unit and/or the relevant Decal.
- After submitting a Name, the Charity will contact each Supporter, using the contact details provided by them, to acknowledge receipt of their submitted Name and to thank them for their donation to the ‘Driven by Hope’ campaign.
- Supporters who have provided their details to the Charity when submitting their Name will be provided with a personalised certificate to commemorate adding a Name to a Unit. The Supporter will also receive confirmation of which Unit the Name will appear on. The email will be sent when we have confirmation the Decal containing the Name(s) is on the relevant Unit.
- Updates, photographs and videos will be publicised from time to time. These shall be provided on the Charity website, social media and any other Charity publicity and marketing collateral. Whilst we will not focus on any one particular Name, the Supporter understands and accepts that their submitted Name may be identifiable.
- We kindly request that Supporters let us know if they intend to visit the Unit to see their Name as there may be opportunities throughout the year at public PR events. Details can be found on our website and social media.
- Supporters will be able to view their Name on the Unit from a photographic image which will be uploaded to the Charity’s website once the Decal has been installed.
- The Decal will remain on a Unit for a minimum of a 12 months’ period. You will be contacted prior to the Decal being removed (this could be longer than 12 months) to ask if you would like to renew for a further 12 months. This will be on a first-come first served basis and a waiting list of interest may be compiled by the Charity for future application of Names. This email will include a link to enable you to purchase a Name on a future lower side panel.
- The Decal is likely to undergo wear and tear or damage. Whilst the Charity expects to replace the Decal in such circumstances, it does not guarantee any length of time that the relevant Unit will remain operational. The Charity has no obligation to contact all Supporters in the event a Decal is removed or repaired or in the event that the relevant Unit undergoes any repairs, refits or is removed from operational service for any reason.
- Personal details provided by completing the ‘Driven by Hope’ online form, or over the telephone by calling 01666 505055, shall be processed by the Charity for the purposes of this campaign and renewal purposes only, in line with applicable data protection and stored securely. You will also be asked to confirm your consent to further future marketing from the Charity purely for information and informative purposes. You can choose to opt in or opt out at any point. - This contract is between you and us. Nobody else can enforce it (other than someone you told us you were donating for as a present) and neither of us will need to ask anybody else to sign-off on ending or changing it.
- If a court or other authority decides that some of these Terms and Conditions are unlawful, the rest will continue to apply.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law and wherever you live you can bring claims against us in the English courts. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims against us in the courts of the country you live in. We can claim against you in the courts of the country you live in.
