Trusts, foundations and philanthropy

Play a major role in our fundraising efforts

Hope for Tomorrow is proud of the long-term partnerships we build with individual philanthropists, grant-making trusts and foundations which provide funds to bring cancer care closer to patients.

We gratefully accept contributions towards our essential expenses and initiatives that benefit the communities we serve through our mobile cancer care units. Unrestricted grants give us the greatest flexibility to target resources where they are most needed, or you could choose to support specific communities where we operate.

Opportunities for trusts and foundations

  • Keep the Wheels Turning – help us to keep our fleet of mobile cancer care units in action
  • Care Miles – providing direct support to a unit out in your community
  • Repairs and maintenance – support for urgent repairs and equipment
  • Nurse support vehicles – each unit comes with a car to allow nurses to safely transport drugs and medication
  • New mobile cancer care units – capital campaigns, such as our need to regularly upgrade our mobile cancer care units when they come to the end of their lifespan.

Philanthropy and major giving

Philanthropy helps us to transform the services and support we provide for people living with cancer. These essential income streams have a significant lasting impact.

We partner with philanthropists to help them choose the right destination for their gift. Major giving can involve pledging a multi-year gift or making a single personal major donation. Each donation can be allocated to a specific region(s) or across our fleet of units operating throughout the country. Voluntary donations make up a significant portion of our income. By supporting our work, you can make a huge difference to people living with cancer.

Our strategic plan

Our five-year strategy is ambitious, as we aim to support more people throughout their cancer pathway. Grants provided by trusts, foundations and major donors make it possible for us to change the way cancer care is delivered. This is integral to our strategic plan for 2024-2029.

Take a look at our plan, latest impact report and accounts to see the difference we are making.
