‘Chance Encounter’ – a tale of love and a day on the railway

Hope for Tomorrow is honoured to be the beneficiary of a fantastic event, organised by one of our Patrons, Geoffrey Bray and a wonderful team of supporters.

Enjoy a unique day on the railway with a return trip on the legendary Quantock Belle Dining Train from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead. On the way out you could enjoy a lunch menu co-designed by a Michelin starred Chef, with a West Country cream tea on the way home.

While in Minehead, you will have the opportunity to attend the film premiere of ‘Chance Encounter’ at the Regal Theatre, which is just short walk from the station. The film, set on the Devon and Somerset Railway in the late 1950s, is a story about the evolving class divide, changes to personal travel and the impact of cancer on families and individuals.

To find out more about this extraordinary day on a famous line or to book your tickets, please visit the ‘Chance Encounter’ website.

A massive thank you to Geoffrey and everyone involved in the ‘Chance Encounters’ project for their support of Hope for Tomorrow.
